Samantha is a licensed clinical social worker in Virginia and an independent clinical social worker in West Virginia. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the University of the Sciences and a Master of Social Work from Tulane University.
Bringing a direct and collaborative approach to therapy, Samantha often integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into her practice. Her therapeutic style is grounded in clarity, structure, and practicality, while maintaining a strong focus on emotional awareness and personal growth. Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness-based techniques to help clients enhance present-moment awareness and develop healthier responses to stress and emotional intensity.
With a broad range of clinical experience across multiple settings, Samantha has worked in a community clinic providing short-term, solution-focused therapy to individuals with little to no insurance, as well as in a psychiatric inpatient unit supporting those in acute crisis. Currently, she provides therapy services to individuals on federal probation while maintaining her private practice, which gives her a unique perspective on working with diverse populations and complex clinical needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Samantha values a balanced and grounded lifestyle. She enjoys reading, exercising, spending time in nature (especially near water), and being with her family.
